Our AI & Automation Lab, made up of diverse colleagues from various fields, is actively working to revolutionize procurement processes. We’ve applied AI in practical, impactful ways, making procurement not just faster, but smarter. AI is transforming how we source, negotiate, and analyze, enabling data-driven decision-making at every stage. By integrating AI, we aim to improve efficiency, boost productivity, and reduce costs across the board. 

Building AI Solutions from the Ground Up 

Our journey has been hands-on from the start. We’ve developed AI solutions tailored specifically for procurement and sourcing, gaining invaluable experience in creating tools that make a difference. From concept to execution, we’re not just relying on external partners but actively developing our in-house expertise to ensure our solutions meet our unique needs. 

Automation and its Impact 

The integration of automation into our business is yielding positive results across various operations. By automating routine tasks, we’re allowing our teams to focus on more strategic initiatives. This shift is enhancing not only productivity but also the overall effectiveness of our sourcing efforts. 

Exciting Projects in the Pipeline 

Here are a few key initiatives where AI is already making an impact: 

– Contract Analysis: We build a tool that uses natural language processing to compare and analyze contracts. This technology allows us to streamline contract management while we explore collaborative redlining and smart templating options. 

– Chatbots: We’ve introduced chatbots that simplify day-to-day tasks like ensuring compliance with policies or offering insights into supplier sustainability scores, making processes smoother and faster. 

– Risk Analysis: We build an AI-powered system to monitor global news and assess how potential crises may affect our business, allowing us to act proactively in volatile situations. 

– Supplier SWOT Analysis: Our mobile app, myBuyIn, now features AI-generated SWOT analyses for our top 50 suppliers. This gives our sourcing teams a deeper, real-time understanding of supplier strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
